AALNC NATIONAL ORGANIZATION AND LOS ANGELES CHAPTER INFORMATION
Founded in 1989, the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC) is a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to the professional enhancement and growth of registered nurses practicing in the specialty area of legal nurse consulting and to advancing this nursing specialty. AALNC has a nationwide network of more than 3500 members and 52 local chapters. The AALNC national website can be found at http://www.aalnc.org/.
The Los Angeles chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants began in 1991. Our membership has a variety of legal nurses with expertise in multiple nursing specialties. Our nurses practice in law firms, healthcare facilities, insurance companies, government agencies, and independent consulting firms. They provide support to attorneys in medical-legal areas of litigation such as personal injury, product liability, medical negligence, toxic torts, workers' compensation, risk management, fraud and abuse.
Our meetings are held quarterly. Each meeting offers networking opportunities, an educational speaker and continuing education credits. The following dates have been tentatively set for 2008.
